For the last few weeks I’ve been writing about a new way of eating I’ve been trying (again) You can read the first post here, and the second one here, and last week I shared my progress. This week I’m wrapping up this series of posts about Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion.

I didn’t start the Always Eat After 7PM program with a goal of losing weight, though I did lose 12 pounds! I started this program because I knew it was a better way for me to eat. I’m not hungry in the morning, but I bought into the idea that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. AND.. when I was hungry, I believed I couldn’t eat. So I’ve been forcing myself to eat when I didn’t want to and denying myself when I did want to eat. That seems insane. We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal.
“So, despite all the bad press over the years, certain carbohydrates play an important role in balancing your hormones and regulating your metabolic rate, while avoiding the dreaded weight loss plateaus that accompany conventional mainstream diets. Furthermore, when you eat these carbohydrates, you’ll feel much better than you would if you were following a traditional diet.”
As I get older and am faced with diseases like diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure, I am more and more interested in doing things for my body that will reduce those risks. As my metabolism slows down I want to eat in such a way that it is optimized. Eating breakfast slows me down and I’ve noticed makes me hungrier when lunch time rolls around. What I have found with the Always Eat After 7pm program is that by skipping breakfast, I am no more, maybe even a little less hungry at lunch time (which I’ve naturally found happens around 2pm). By dinner time if I am hungry I have no guilt for eating a larger meal (if I want it) and I don’t worry about eating later in the day.
Not obsessing about when and what I can eat during the day reduces my daily stress several times over – and that’s not an overstatement.
I’m very happy with the results of my month following the Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. I love that it is flexible, that there are a ton of delicious recipes in the book, and that it’s so easy to follow (it’s not really like following anything except what my body already wants to do). If I want to indulge I do, because I am not denying myself much I never feel the need to indulge – if that makes any sense?
“Intermittent fasting really shines when it comes to improving the hormones that directly affect your hunger, blood sugar, and metabolism. One is insulin. IF combats insulin resistance, meaning that it helps your body use insulin more normally, thereby lowering your diabetes risk and boosting your metabolism.”
I do wish I had taken my measurements before I started this. The number on the scale is proof positive that this way of eating works, but it would have been nice to see where I lost the most inches. I’ll continue intermittent fasting and eating in the evening because it works for me – and it can work for you too!
If you’ve been looking for a program that allows you to eat during the evening and still lose weight I encourage you to give Always Eat After 7pm a try. If your looking to feel better, and more energetic I really encourage you to give this a try. Also, it’s got tons of delicious recipes that are not only indulgent, but also really tasty.
