I just can’t seem to get down to blogging more than once a week. As I settle into this new job I should be able to find more time to write more.
Yesterday as I was rushing to work I rear ended the car in front of me. I didn’t really rear end him but I tapped his bike rack and heard a crack. I motioned for him to pull over and he shook his head no and mouthed not to worry about it. I motioned again for him to pull over and he reluctantly did. He got out of his car, grabbed the bike rack and gave it a firm shake to see if it was all in one piece and told me to have a great day as he got back into his car. He was very nice and was not trying to be rude or short with me. This scenario usually doesn’t play out that way so I was very pleased and happy for the rest of the day.
Sounds more like a car mash.
A lady backed into the side of my car recently in a parking lot. It was clearly her fault, and it put a small dent in my car.
It was one of those “this is going to happen no matter what” events that seem to unfold in slow motion. She just kept on coming even though I was laying on the horn.
She gave me her conatct information, and even gave me a follow-up call, but I decided to let it go. It’s not like I drive a brand-new car.
I drove a Ford Taurus for about 8 years. In the not-quite year-and-a-half that I’ve had my Civic Hybrid, I’ve gotten more dings than I accumulated in the first five years of driving the Taurus. For a while, I was a bit taken aback, but now, it’s just stuff.
Nice to see you back!
