I said I wasn’t going to take a break but it looks like I am. Of course now that I have said that I have all kinds of ideas for posts here but still I must press on. I am so close to the finish and ready and writing other things is just too distracting.
I actually composed a post about the issues I have, one of which is the fact that if I order a Diet Coke in a drive thru and they haven’t pressed down the little button on the lid that says “diet” I am suspect that it might not be diet pop and therefore don’t drink it. To me all fountain pop tastes horrid so I can’t really tell if it is the real stuff or diet pop. I didn’t write this post because as you can see I only got a couple of sentences out of it. I have other issues but at the moment I can’t think of them.
So I will probably be popping in here every now and again over the next two weeks but for sure nothing on any kind of schedule and unless something jumps out at me there won’t be anything earth shattering.
I want to thank you all for being patient and especially encouraging. I can’t tell you how helpful that is to have you support me in this little endeavor, it really means a lot.
If you are looking for good reads then head on over to The Tribe Has Spoken, the feed page on Tribal Blogs. It is filled with all of the great blogs by writers who are much better than I could hope to be. The page takes a while to load so be patient, it’s well worth the wait.

I tried last night to get into that page and thought it was a glitch. Now I know it’s just slow, I will try again.
It’s great that you are concentrating on finishing your book. If your blog has to take a back seat, then so be it. We’ll all be here waiting.
Checking in with you, Jen — You are such an inspiration the way you have stuck with all this! Yes, I remember organization was a problem. It’s hard to get it all out and figure out how all the pieces fit together and influence each other. Occasional breaks are essential. They help you see. Can’t wait to see how this all turns out. Hang in there! (one of your many fans, Blythe)
You go girl! We’ll be here when you get back.
Do what you need to do. We” all be here when you get back. We can’t be wonder woman all the time. Well, certainly not me.
Keep on plugging away, and you’ll be done before you know it. And of course we’ll still be ‘here’ as noname said below.
Hang in there, Jen. We’ll be here when you’re ready to come back.
It’s hard to blog and write other stuff. I’ve had trouble finishing several short stories I’ve started and want to submit to magazines. It’s good to take a break now and then. Blogging is so addictive that it often prevents me from working on other writing projects.
Now this is how to take a blog break. It’s announced, you pop in occasionally to verify that you’re alive and you’re still on a break and then you give us something to discuss in your absence.
I always get a diet pop in the drive through and they never, EVAH press that button down.
I figured it was up to me to play “one of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn’t belong.”
Don’t expect us to wait around forever, Jen. At five minutes until forever, I’m outa here!
P.S. Good luck with the writing. Hope your productive and successful.
Focus….focus…..
It’s very difficult to blog and write a book at the same time. Lord knows I’ve tried it [and failed]! I’ll be right here whenever you decide to check in or announce that you’re still alive!
We’re here. Now git!
I miss you… sigh…
Maybe if you stopped blogging in sweatpants, donned that slinky black dress and went out to nightclubs without your underwear you too could get a book deal!
I always press all the little bubbles on my soda lid. I wonder if that is some type of disorder that a doctor could help me with?
