I listened to your conversation while doing my end of week reports this morning, and I feel a kinship with what you experienced. There’s nobody gay in my family that I know of, but a few of my military friends waited until after discharge to come out. (It was safer that way, back in the 80’s.
I always wondered from how well you wrote if you had a catholic education, and I see I was right.
my Mom outlived my dad by almost 6 years, the last few in a Nursing home, and I know what that is like.

As for my writing and my Catholic education. I only went to Catholic school for two years and that was high school. I learned how to party and other things that Catholic girls are good at at that school but academics was not one of them. Prior to that I went to a college prep non-denominational school which is where I learned the mechanics of writing. My grandfather is the one who introduced me to the love of writing.
