I wasn’t sure this day would ever arrive but it did and it is grand.
Both kids were actually excited to get back to school. I know it won’t last, but for a day at least they looked their best, promised to act their best and didn’t complain when I woke them up.
The morning went off without a hitch until I discovered that my son, a junior in high school, grabbed the bag containing his sister’s, a first grader, school supplies. He is an honor student in the accelerated classes who will probably take some grief from his friends for showing up with a 16 pack of crayons, a glue stick, wide ruled notebook, a box of Kleenex and pair of safety scissors.
hahahaha OMG, I can just picture his face.
LOL Oh no! Hope he doesn't catch to much grief for taking the wrong bag. Hope the kids enjoy school.
Heh heh heh.
It's the safety scissors that will do him in….
Mrs. C. Knowing my kid he will convince all the other kids that only cool kids carry safety scissors and crayons. He will probably start a new trend.
Stacie, I'm sure they will, for today at least.
Pricilla, Hopefully they school won't see it as a weapon with their no tolerance approach.
I'll bet he didn't even TRY to unpack the contents…if he's anything like me he would've proudly took out a jumbo crayon and started a new trend.
That's too funny…and if that's all your first grader needed for school, I'm sending my first grader to your school:)
Gillian, that is exactly what he did.
Shelly, no she needed more but mom couldn't afford the two reams of paper they required, baby wipes, hand sanitizer and dry erase markers. I figured I'd get what was a necessity, at least in my eyes, and make due with that until some money comes in. I still gotta feed 'em ya know.
Ok, now I just think that's funny.
Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read and comment.
My kids have done that.
Not quite as potentially embarrassing, though, as having your younger brother steal your girlfriend.
Haha!! Kids can be cruel when they're jealous of the crayons!! 🙂
It can be a problem for honor students (not that I know from first-hand experience) because teachers have to teach to the whole class. The rest of the class aren't all as bright as your son.
But he's fortunate, if the classes get boring he has the necessary materials to do some crafts. Of course, he'll have to switch schools because of the teasing he'll take for it, but at least he can keep active.
Nothing better than to have some drawing material for those less than exiting instructors…Maybe he did it on purpose…Smart boy..
Jennifer, I love your site!
Mother, huh? I hope that's something I don't have to deal with them.
Grandy, Knowing my kid he just shared with the class.
Joel, he was actually a hit in class. Much teasing but then they are all honor students who tend to be on the geeky side.
Megaman, I don't think he did it on purpose, he was much to asleep for that but it was fun for him.
