Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè was another winner that arrived in my October Birchbox. This multitasking moisturizer is why you always want to take the time to read the product info card that comes with your Birchbox! Chances are a product is going to be so much more than you realize and this is one of them.

Initial impression when I reached for this one morning was that it wasn’t going to do much for me. I usually use shea butter or a heavier moisturizer on my face. With how we basically have 0 moisture in the air in the Midwest now, it is pretty much necessary for me. The consistency of this was very light and thin, but the moisture it provides is amazing! The first day I used it without makeup and for most of the day it kept my skin feeling very hydrated.

Having no previous experience with Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè, I decided to go to the website(since I was totally guilty of losing the card) to see what was up. Get this – not only is it a moisturizer, it also is a primer and a makeup remover! I debated since my sample was small and I enjoyed using it as a moisturizer – but I decided to test it out in the name of research and blogging! Is this multitasking moisturizer all that it’s cracked up to be?

The Multitasking Moisturizer Put To The Test

Day 2 I used it as a primer under my makeup. Typically, I use a primer cocktail of a hydrating primer and a matte primer for oily areas – but I used the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè all over. My makeup applied beautifully over it, in fact I liked it a little better than my normal primer. My t-zone was a little oily so maybe I would have still benefitted from the addition of my matte primer.

I also used it to take off my makeup. It felt like such a luxurious way to remove my makeup! Fortunately, a little did go a long way in removing my makeup. However, I did still turn to remover specifically formulated for the eye area because my eyes are super sensitive. Normally I would feel like this was a waste of product, however it came off so easily and my skin felt so good afterwards it was totally worth it not to have a red face that was desperately trying to calm down with other products.
