As everyone knows it has been really cold lately. So cold that the daughter has been sleeping in my room because her room is just too cold. It’s warmer now, so it’s just a bad habit we are going to have to break.
When I went into my room to go to sleep last night, this is what I found.

On a more serious note, the earthquake in Haiti has been devastating. The Haitians had little before the quake and now it looks as if they are left with nothing. Please click on one of the links below to help these people.

That is way too funny! Your daughter looks like she’s a bed-hog like my daughter is… not to mention the pets! 🙂
I was horrified to see on the news last night about Haiti – after all the flooding last year and now this, it’s very sad.
Good question….where did you sleep?
Stacy: The cat is the one who takes up the most room even though she is the smallest. And she gets all huffy when moved.
Ian: The cat was displaced.
LMAO! The cat…the daughter…the dog! ROFL. I do see an empty spot next to the dog, though.
Was it comfy?
Ahhhh….I get it, the poor kitty got the boot! LOL

HA! If I let my dog on the bed, there wouldn’t be room for a person, which is why I don’t let her on the bed!!
.-= Lee the Hot Flash Queen´s last blog ..The Twelve Traditions =-.
Christine: It wasn’t and hasn’t been all the comfy. I keep waking up with a sore neck and arm and my feet are usually freezing because they have to dangle off the side of the bed. We have to break this habit.
Lee: The dog usually sleeps on the couch unless he hears a loud noise like a car back firing or something. He’s easy to move, the daughter is not and the cat just gives me the stink eye. I have no control in this house. I’m at their mercy.
Guess you’ll have to start getting to bed earlier! 🙂

Surfie has a good idea – try to get there first! I hate when everybody wants to pile into MY bed. Our daughter tossed and turned all night long and ended up sleeping sideways on the bed. I quickly nixed her sleeping with us! Hope you get it all sorted out soon so you can get some decent sleep for a change.
Surfie: That sounds like something my daughter would say. I can’t got to bed before 11pm. I’ve tried but it doesn’t work. She is just going to have to sleep in her own room, with the animals.
Brenda: I think if all else fails I should just go and sleep in her bed. My daughter does the sidesways thing too and it drives me crazy. When I was pregnant with her she kicked me in the ribs all the time I should have to put up with it again.
LOL I didn’t even see the cat in the picture. Typical guy missing something obvious….I know…
.-= Ian´s last blog ..And so it begins…again =-.
Ian: She usually waits to sleep on the bed until I am in it and she can sleep on my feet, which I don’t mind since it has been so cold. If she gets inpatient waiting for me she will curl up with Stanley (big dumb dog).
lol. Well, they are having there sleep out today! I guess, you will have to consider sleeping in the couch….:)
Too funny! I hope that you get things back to normal!

You should have just left them to it, LOL.
Too bad about the quake in Haiti, I’m going to read up on that.
That is a GREAT picture. I told Elizabeth that last night she had me pushed WAY over to where my back was half off the bed. The dog had my foot area – so I might as well go sleep in HER room tonight ha ha! We weren’t cold, we just have a “bad habit” that I have NO problem with – soon enough she will be a teenager and have NOTHING to do with me! 🙂
They all look so comfy!

Great picture my German Shepherd takes up half the bed but I usually find her right in the center. So sad about the earthquake half of my friends were supposed to go on a mission trip so I am glad they had not left yet but they will be in my prayers.
No daughter, just a 4-pound Chihuahua and a cat — and a queen-size bed. Get an electric blanket, girlfriend!

Well, you could sleep in your daughters room. Just saying.
Have a terrific WW. 🙂

Is this an optical illusion, or maybe one of those tricky questions on IQ tests: On the left we have a person, on the right we have this ‘bed situation’. Will the person fit on the bed and if so, how?
I hope it’s not an essay question. I always hated those.
What an awesome picture. Even a stuffed animal? And, I too didn’t see the cat at first. That’s one big pile of warm and snuggly there. Glad you found a spot.

I adore that picture! Your pup looks like my Harry (the 90 pound galoot!) Sweet Sweet Sweet!
Thanks for the links for Haiti relief. I was just telling my husband we need to make a Red Cross contribution right now.

The floor, obviously!
We have a queen bed. By the time the three cats settle in it might as well be a twin…
Move over Rover and let Jen take over!
Thanks for the links.
Mr. Stupid: No way, it’s my bed they can go sleep on the couch.
Stephanie: Now that it’s getting warmer I think they will all be moving to their own spots. If not soon at least the daughter goes to her dad’s for the weekend so I can stake claim again.
Myne: The only one who was disturbed was the cat and she found another place once I got settled. Nothing can disturb the daughter.
Katherine: That’s sweet but I really want them out of my bed. And my daughter is soooo attached I don’t think the teen years will tear her away. Who am I kidding? She isn’t going to speak to me then, which might be nice little break after all these years.
Kristina: They were, believe me. The nice thing about it is that when I do get into bed it’s all warmed up. Lots of extra hair all over the place but at least it is warm.
Carrie: The dog will usually spend the day sleeping on my pillows. I hate this because I really hate putting my head where his butt has been. He doesn’t understand this since he puts his head where is butt is all the time.
Jayne: Is the dog bigger than the cat? Does it confuse them? My niece was always perplexed and confused by little dogs. She insisted that if it was below the knee it was a cat.
Comedy Plus: I could but her bed is tiny and it’s cold up there. You have a great one too.
PJ: It felt kinda like a puzzle when it happened. And I did consider for a brief moment sleeping on the couch.
Kathy: There are three stuffed animals. Snoopy, and two moose. The moose are mine. I don’t sleep with them, I just thought they were cute. They get shoved between the wall and the pillows. Really, I don’t sleep with them.
Linda: That is Stanley, the Bassador(basset/lab mutt). I was talking to a friend the other night who was asking about his name. My son wanted to name him Butch but he just isn’t a Butch. I told my friend he is a Stanley, Walter or Harry. Galoot is an awesome word. I just call him a big dumb dog.
Pricilla: The floor is covered in dog, cat and my hair. No way will I sleep on the floor. You can’t tell but the room is really small, there is about two feet of floor space and that’s it. If anyone was going on the floor it was going to be the dog and possibly the cat (I don’t have any authority over her).
Margo: Funny!
How cute is that?????? I know you wanted to sleep but really …How cute is that???? How could you stand to move any one of them?
Why is it all these Wordless Weds always end up having words? Hah tell a blogger to be quiet, I dare ya ……..
Well, at least you know it’s going to be warm when you squeeze in there!
Kids, they just want it all don’t they? Too sweet!
Ya’ll have a wonderfully blessed day from the hills and hollers of the Ozarks!
Mrsblogalot: I have no qualms about moving people out of my bed, remember, I’m divorced twice.
MOB: I can’t do Wordless Wednesday without using words, it’s stupid as far as I am concerned because it just doesn’t make sense. If I put a picture up and don’t explain it no one will get what I am showing.
Buggys: Yes but picking all the hair off my tongue gets old. I sleep with my mouth open I guess.
Nezzy: Mine certainly does. You too!
Looks like my bed when the husband is away, but add three more kids! And they snore!
I can totally relate. By the middle of the night both boys (who are total bed hogs) are in my bed. There’s just not room for all of us, so like last night, I went in to their room and slept in The Bear’s bed, lol!
The cat sleeps on my head–I refuse to let the dog up. 😉
you look to be in a heck of a predicament. i’m like the selfish bedtime nazi who deals in “no sleeping in MOM’s bed!” edicts…it’s hell being a momster! 🙂 thanks for your visit!
I love that picture, it’s so warm and cozy. We can use that after the events on the news today, huh?
I’m sure glad mine was a cat. I always have a space to lay my back, except when he cranky. 🙂
Hi Jen,
I thought this was a really cute picture. You are a good mommy and I would not want my daughter sleeping in a cold room either. Now that it is warmer, I hope things work out for you and you can have your bed with more room to sleep in it.
My 5 1/2 year old daughter still sleeps with us. I kinda know how you feel. There is not much room left in the bed with the 3 of us in it. She just really loves her daddy and mom and wants to be with us. I really hope I can get her to sleep in her room soon. This is not good. Have a nice day! 🙂
Looks like a happy family to me!

LOL… Oh my, I would have been so disappointed to discover them in my bed especially when I was so ready to settle in. Cute picture though. I hope you got comfortable and was able to get some rest.
Just slide in and shove the dog over. It will quickly return. {*grin*}
Mine sleeps on the floor beside the bed, migrating to the door way as morning comes to make sure I don’t get up without her noticing and getting her morning pets.
