My son is going to graduate from high school this year. Our mailbox has been filled with mail from potential colleges wooing him since last summer. Most of the material he receives is rather boring.
This one stood out.

Awesome. 🙂 The amateur artwork really sets it off nicely.
That’s from a college?
A 7 year-old did it?
Those haikus do suck!
See anyone can do it.

Very cool. How come they never had stuff like that when we were that age? Of course, I didn’t even have to write an essay for my college app, so I shouldn’t complain.
My application consisted of where I lived. Since I lived in the state, and I wanted to go to the state university, I was accepted. Thank god. For fun I filled out a couple of other applications, it was an early lesson on rejection letters.
Really cool. The silliness takes the stuffiness right out of it.
Nice 😀
Who knew MIT had such a great sense of humor?
WOW that is GREAT!!!! It makes me want to run out and apply!
Maybe scholarships
Will be forthcoming for him.
Wishing him the best!
Fingers are crossed about the scholarships.
Rather a novel approach! I think I would look closely at that one if I were looking for a place in college.
All of this “dead serious” stuff is intimidating. I’m so glad MIT takes a different approach! I love it!
Me too, because MIT is pretty intimidating already and I’m not the one applying there, I’ll just be the one who gets the bill.
Damn! It would be awesome if he got accepted there!
That form totally needs to be translated to Match.com or e-Harmony.

Love this!
I love the artwork. Show me a house on legs and I’ll buy whatever you’re selling.
You may have just opened yourself up to all kinds of house on legs spam.
Almost makes me want to go back to college! However, I think I’d need more than a good haiku to get into MIT…
You and me both! I can’t even write a bad haiku, they’d never consider me.
Maybe you could start offering college degrees on Tribal Blogs! I hear those are all the rage these days!
How cool is that? Is he applying there? For real? He must be real brainy!
that’s awesome! But wait…is he really applying to MIT?
