Today the Minnesota Senate votes on whether or not gay people can legally marry someone of the same sex. It's expected to pass and Governor Dayton has said he will sign the bill if it lands on his desk tomorrow. It's about time. If it passes same - sex marriages can begin August 1st, 2013. Minnesota would be the 12th state to legalize gay marriage.
And I thought my marriages were short! Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from her husband, whose name escapes me, after just 72 days. Not coincidentally, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce on the 30th anniversary of Harry Potter's parents death. I have no idea what either of those have to do with one another but thought it was interesting. Kim Kardashian doesn't have the shortest
It was our first Christmas as a married couple. Ex#1 and I had only been married for a couple of months when we celebrated our first holiday as husband and wife. To be truthful our marriage was already strained. My father had been diagnosed with lymphoma on our wedding day and I had been escorting him to chemotherapy several times a week and taking care
Image via Wikipedia I'm not a huge fan of the Gores, even though Al gave us the internet, but I am sad to hear that they have decided to get a divorce after 40 years of marriage. Since Lola jumped back into the dating world I have been thinking about finding a mate for myself. It's been a fleeting thought, here and there, throughout the years since my divorce. The end of the year is upon us. Not only is it the end of another year but also the end of a decade. I can't believe how fast the last ten years have gone by. It seems like just yesterday that I was glued to the television waiting for all the bad things to happen when the Y2K bug hit. It never did. But
I have some of my best ideas before I wake up. At least they seem that way for a couple of hours after waking. This morning was no different. I woke up with an idea for a great little shop. I live close to Grand Ave. On the avenue are tons of little boutiques and shoppes that cater to people who have gobs of money
Image via Wikipedia As I sit here on the eve of Valentines Day, that be all and end all to hopeless romantics, I am watching romantic tear jerkers on TV. So far I have cried to the ending of Armageddon and now I am watching Love Actually. I will cry at the end of this movie when they show the last scene at Heathrow airport.
