Now that the kids are back in school I have been able to visit all my favorite blogs again. I’ve tried to stay in touch with some of them over the summer but no one seemed to post as often. I commented far less during the summer and I apologize for that. Now that I am making the rounds again through Entrecard it’s kinda like returning to school as well.

I’ve stopped by Small Town Mommy to see that she is lost once again. I saw Grandy over at Functional Shmunctional who managed to get me all worked up about a Snickers bar, but I love her anyway and someone needs to buy that girl a drink, even if it is a little early in the morning. I have stopped by Joe’s blog, Crotchety Old Man Yells At Cars, one of the best blog names around I might add. Joe has been in the hospital for most of the summer but he manages to post just about everyday. I have not been in the hospital but have been challenged to get a post out once a week. Joe is a dedicated blogger and I hope he gets out of the hospital soon. I’ve reluctantly stopped by Moooog’s place, Mental Poo, but only because he keeps leaving comments on my posts. Going to his site takes preparation. I have to make sure I have gone to the bathroom or I will pee my pants reading his stuff. Be careful as you leave a comment, he stalks people and then leaves highly inappropiate comments behind. Of course there is Pricilla from the Maaaa of Pricilla. She is one of my top commenters and I love her dearly for it. She also makes the best damn soap I have ever used and you should all try some. The woman is made of steel. Not only is she living in construction hell but she watched her babies move to another farm the other day. Just thinking about little Kevin brings a tear to my eyes. Pricilla not only speaks but she speaks well, none of that “I can haz cheeseburger” shit over there. Of course there is JD from I Do Things So You Don’t Have To, stop by and watch her speech from the Blogher conference this summer. I am thinking about giving blood today, I’m O- and they are low. I’ve never given blood before and I’m a little scared. I’m actually hoping that JD will give blood for me so I don’t have to. What can I say, I’m a wuss. Knowing JD she’d do it for me but she’d do it in the nude. Stacie, from Stacie’s Madness, is finally moving so she needs a hug or two. She also wants to win a contest so go help the lady win. Lastly, if it wasn’t for the Mother at Mother’s Handbook, I would have folded from my parental responsibilities. If she has managed to mess it up, what with all her medical degrees and brains over there, than I don’t feel so bad.

In addition to seeing all my bloggy friends I missed over the summer I have met some new friends too. Motherwise is a woman I can relate to. Any woman who is just now getting around to losing the baby fat from her last pregnancy, now that the child is in college, is a friend of mine. She’s got some great stuff over there so go check her out. Mrs. C from Storms Never Last, is a fellow redhead, ’nuff said. I met Gillian from A Peek Into Our Lives, and several other blogs, last week. Another redhead but a worldly one who lives in South Africa though originally from Scotland. Not only does she have a great sense of humor but she also has these cool little tampon things. See, I told you she has a great sense of humor. I bet she has a cool accent too. Finally The People Of Walmart. I haven’t met the owner of this blog but I spent hours on it last night. I’ve never been a proud Wal*Mart shopper, in fact the only time I go there is when the Target was closed for remodeling, but after seeing all the pictures of unsuspecting Wal*Mart shoppers I refuse to go for fear that I might end up on this site. I should go today since I didn’t realize until I returned from walking my daughter to school and talking to her teacher that I was wearing striped blue and red underpants (I hate the word panties) underneath white pants. I know it’s after Labor Day but I’m a little behind on laundry since I have been visiting with old friends. Sue me. Anyway, the site takes a while to load due to all the hilarious pictures but it is well worth it.

I’m running out of room. I need to thank everyone who retweeted my post about selling advertising space on my roof. So far there is one bid for .99 but there are still 6 more days. Thanks to all you guys.

Finally a huge shout out to Kathy from The Junk Drawer. She Stumbled my post about the kids mixing up their school supply bags. I had 200 extra visitors to this humble little site because of Kathy. I have been wanting to write a post about the fact that every drawer in my house is a junk drawer but haven’t because that is Kathy’s turf. That and I’m kinda unorganized.

For those of you who don’t “get” the title, probably because you are way too young, here is a video to explain it. Skip to the 1:30 mark, when it looks like she is going to grab her stashed bottle from the bookshelf. Enjoy!
