Preheat oven to 350°F. Line or spray a 13X9 inch pan with Pam.
Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar until smooth and light. Add eggs – one at a time, but don’t over beat. Add sour cream and vanilla and mix until combined. Add flour mixture.
Bake for 30 – 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Let cool completely before frosting cake.
