I’m getting really tired of this election. I think I might have said that before. I’m also going to be really busy in the next few weeks so here is my prediction for who will win the 2008 presidential election.

John McCain is going to win the election. It will be close but not as close as it should be.

I’m not saying this because I want him to win.

Someone is going to break an historic barrier this election and I believe it will be a woman who breaks that barrier first because she is second to an old white guy. Someone maintaining the status quo will still be in charge. If the democratic ticket was turned upside down, Biden/Obama instead of Obama/Biden, the democratic ticket would win.

There are still too many people who hold racist opinions of African Americans. It’s not right, it’s not nice, it isn’t even logical but that is the way it is. The recent polls have illustrated this but my guess is racism is still underreported. There are many people who don’t want a woman in a position of power as well but with John McCain headlining the ticket they still get the white guy in charge. And lets face it the vp doesn’t do much but wait around for number one to kick it. Except of course for Dick Cheney.

Recently Bill Clinton has been stumping for not only Sarah Palin but also John McCain. He had nothing but wonderful things to say about him yesterday and today. Go figure. Of course I don’t think anyone thinks either of the Clintons want to see Barrack Obama win the election.

I wish that Obama had chosen Hillary as his running mate. I think they would have won in a landslide. I understand why he didn’t take her with him but it would have been nice to break both barriers in one fell swoop. Don’t get me wrong, I love Joe Biden. He would entertain all of us for the next four years. Sarah Palin can say things that are only have as stupid as Joe Biden and she is an idiot but when he says them he is just speaking without thinking much, it’s forgiven and understood.

McCain will win* and it will be very close. I don’t believe that anyone will contest it like in the 2000 election. I don’t think there will be hanging chads or any of that. Whoever does lose will do so gracefully.
