I get this email at least three times a week. I have been for years and honestly it’s like white noise, I don’t even get upset about the spamming.
However, I want to scream every time I see “exchange” instead of “exchanging”. It hurts my head to read it and I wish I could let them know.
My name is Lienka Mills and I was wondering if you are interested in exchange links, I’ll place your link on my sites exactly here:
If you agree please send me your site details:
I’ll place your link in less than 24 hours, then I’ll send you an email with my info.
If you don’t want to receive more mails just reply with “unsubscribe”. <— Total lie!!
The other day, I was sit at home, and I started think, “Hey! I’m wonder if any websites are link to all the cool stuff I’ve been post on my blog.”
So, that’s what’s been happen with me, lately.
*smacks Thomas upside the head*
So I am guess “unsubscribe” doesn’t stop you from get more mails?
I think this is the same person who called me claiming to be from Microsoft and also the guy who wanted me to pay for smoked turkey that I didn’t order.
Possibly, I get the same email content though it is from a different sender each time.
Now, now Jen. This spammer is obviously like Pig Pen from Charlie Brown. He’s got a crush on the little red-haired girl and he’s trying the best he can to get your attention.
If he’s choking you with his cloud of dirt he’s just doing it out of
“Lienka” sounds feminine to me. However, I assume this person is Russian and they have names that sound feminine but are in actuality masculine …like Sasha. So you could be right. Or, you didn’t read very carefully.
I feel your pain. My personal grammatical source of torture is people who use “drug” as the past-tense for “drag.” It’s dragged. DRAGGED! And just because Dr. Phil and others on TV getting paid more than they’re worth get it wrong, too, doesn’t make it okay. They’re morons.
This one hasn’t been a source of irritation for me, but now it will. Thank you. I do get pissed off when I hear musicians use lyrics like john Cougar’s “I need a lover THAT won’t drive me crazy”. I suspect he has been married and divorced as many times as Liz Taylor partially because he can’t construct a sentence to save his life.
It’s possible that what she (he) means is:
…….if you are interested in ‘exchange links’, I’ll place….. If so, punctuation is needed 🙂
The non-word “irregardless” is my personal bugbear; the urge to berate someone using it in conversation can be well nigh irresistible.
[…] can find a neat rant about her at Redheadranting and another one at the WebProWorld forums. OK so let’s see if she actually owns these […]
Hmm…I too got this mail Todai.
