Simply Bags

A couple of weeks ago I was approached by Simply Bags. They asked if I would be interested in reviewing one of their tote bags, after taking a quick peek at what they had to offer I was like hell yeah!

After choosing from a bunch of really fun colors (I chose the Fuchsia) I got to choose what to have embroidered on the front of the bag. I went with my blog name because it’s time to tell the world, or at least the beach, about my blog.

My picture doesn’t do it justice, this is a large bag made of jute construction. You all probably know what jute means but I didn’t have a clue and had to Google it.

Jute is a type of plant fiber used to make common items such as rope, twine, chair coverings, curtains, sacks, hessian cloth, carpets, and even the backing used on linoleum. This is accomplished by spinning the fiber into a coarse thread. Despite the fact that jute tends to be rough in texture, fine threads of it are sometimes used to create imitation silk. In addition, jute is increasingly being looked at as an alternative source for making paper, rather than cutting down trees for pulp. -Wise Geek.com

Whatever jute is it makes a really attractive summer time bag.

It’s a large bag measuring 23’W and 14’H. This tote could easily hold a large beach towel, a good size book, my laptop, water bottle and still have room for an extra pair of clothes, shoes and possibly a small dog.

The inside is lined and has one pocket. It even zips closed!

I don’t go to the beach that often, in fact I can’t remember the last time we did that, but we do go to the public pool and this would make a great pool bag because it can get wet and won’t ruin it. In addition to using this at the beach I could totally see taking this to the grocery store instead of using their reusable bags which aren’t all that stylish.

Simply Bags has a ton of bags, they have diaper bags, lunch totes, laptop bags and the even have bags with Betty Boop and Elvis on them.  Their bags are stylish and reasonably priced. Go on and take a look for yourself.

I'm kinda concerned because you said you were 'approached' by them…be careful when being approached by strangers.
And don't be bringing your laptop to the pool, K?

Don't worry, I won't be bringing my laptop to the pool. Not since I found my
Palm in the bottom of our backyard pool last week. I'm still waiting for it
      to dry out.

It's very nice. Hmm, is there room for a small goat? I could send you Marion. No one would know and you could have the weed control you were looking for.

I must applaud Simply Bags attention to detail by adding an interior pocket that zips shut! Yes, every bag needs at least one pocket inside with a zipper. A pocket without a zipper will do in a pinch, but bag makers need to invest in the zipper. It makes a huge difference.

And I love the idea of a tote bag with my blog name. Awesome idea!

Jute is related to hemp and hemp is related to a certain smokeable plant with the initials marajuana. So, when you get tired of the bag, you can shred it, dry it out, and roll it up for a smoke.

I don't know from tote bags, but I wanted to make a contribution to the comment section.

I love the way your blog name looks on the bag. And also cause it's in CamelCase. I like CamelCase.
