    The model and serial number lookups were either stalling tactics so “Chris” could read the previous rep’s notes, or “Chris” was doing some kind of flowchart troubleshooting that didn’t actually get him anywhere.

    I’m impressed with Mark’s patience.

    I used to work tech support on the phone, and I was proud of my record of callers whose problems I fixed. I guess that pride doesn’t get instilled in CSRs as much any more.

    I worked tech support too. For a product that didn’t work either. I know what it is like to be on the tech side of the call and always try to be as patient as possible. It isn’t their fault they are pions in the company and are usually following a script.

    Why did he need a serial number? They have a bad batch of pcs?
